About Us

Students:

Lucas Anderson: I am a Fredericksburg native, and double-majored in Historic Preservation and Geospatial Analysis (GIS) at UMW. I graduated in fall 2024.

Natalie Lee: I am from the Northern Virginia area and a double major in Geospatial Analysis and History. I am excited to be part of a project that engages my passion for history and the art of GIS.

Maggie Alt: Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, I am a double major in Historic Preservation and Geospatial Analysis. This project has taught me so much about the history of Fredericksburg, and I look forward to learning more.

Brendan O’Connell: I majored in historic preservation major with a GIS certificate at UMW. Local history has always been a passion of mine. I graduated in spring 2025.

Aidan Smagh: I am originally from southern Virginia and double majored in Computer Science and History at UMW. I graduated in spring 2024 and was accepted at the University of Pittsburgh to pursue an M.S. in Computer Science.
